Output 25 - Summer Edition 20H00 BEN WENDEL, BEST OF Ben Wendel ist ein kanadischer Saxophonist, der nicht nur für seine stupende Technik, sondern auch für seine genreübergreifende Vielseitigkeit bekannt ist. Er ist Gründungsmitglied der experimentellen Jazzgruppe Kneebody und neben seiner Tätigkeit als Musiker auch ein engagierter Pädagoge. Wir spielen eine Auswahl seiner harmonisch und technisch anspruchsvollen Kompositionen, ausgewählt aus verschiedenen Alben der letzten Jahre. Tobias Haug (ts), Moritz Hunziker (p), Loïc Cardinal (b), Mathis Länzlinger (dr) 21H00 LINLEY MARTHE The music in my workshop concerns six brillant motivated  young musicians, completely free to interpret the pieces I'd gave to them and to play really intensely , and to feel free from  the key that came from other continents on the four sides of the world. The five tracks will be interpretated with much freedom included lots of melodies and lots of rhythm and harmonies and each rhythm different from the others, so… a big challenge for them, requiring concentration and musicality as well as fun and concentration . It's an easy music to listen to but not easy to play, but easy to get through - it's going to be Groovy !
